Příruba je obecně vyrobena z měděného niklu nebo zpracování stříbra. Substrát odporu je obecně vyroben z oxidu berylia, nitridu hlinitého a tisku oxidu hlinitého podle požadavků na energii a podmínky rozptylu tepla.
Výživové ukončení, stejně jako olovnaté zakončení, se používá hlavně k absorbování vln signálu přenášených na konec obvodu, zabrání ovlivňování obvodu a zajištění kvality přenosu systému obvodu.
Výřezové ukončení má charakteristiku snadné instalace ve srovnání s rezistory náplastí díky jeho přírubě a montážním otvorům na přírubě.
